Alexander Wang just keeps on proving to us that he is on top and the right person to take over Balenciaga with another stella collection shown at Paris Fashion Week.

#NYFW: Rebecca Minkoff

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking. A trend that we shall see over and over again during the S/S shows.

Now, I haven't particularly paid interest in Rebecca Minkoff previous seasons but when a fashion insider posted a picture of these badass - what shall we call them? - gladiator-esque? heels I had to check out the rest of the collection. However, the shoes themselves sold it to me alone. The floral ones please.. size 5. The latin american influence was shown throughout the collection with the floral embellishments on outfit 1 above, the boho maxi dresses and mesh tops and skirts. The third outfit shown above makes me want to migrate to Mexico and put on a sombrero that is made out of tortilla chip and salsa.

(I looked way too tired, hence why this is a faceless post)
Always been obsessed with American culture, always wanted to be an American - one day I will be. However, for now, I'll just stick to dressing like one. I mean who hasn't wanted to be a baseball player?

This is an outfit I wore to my brother's 16th birthday party Friday night. I'm really digging logo tees, particularly sport brands like Nike and Adidas, they can be the perfect addition and added touch of detail to any outfit. They can be paired with anything and they can be made tom-boyish or girly. I decided to make this Nike tee girly by pairing it with an amazing (p)leather skirt and my new A. Wang inspired heels. Definitely going to become one of my go-to outfits for going out out. You can see more photos of me in this outfit on Instagram. Go knock yourself out.

Spending everything on Alexander Wang

Ever since I saw Alexander Wang's S/S13 show, I have loved everything single piece that was shown in the collection. Now, the high street has tried to replica everything from it - re-creating the cut-out leather dress and making them mesh panel dresses. And now the shoes are appearing in the high street stores! I know these are exactly like those beautiful, glow in the dark, white heels that shined in the show but they're the closest I'm ever going to get to them. These babies are from New Look and are currently in the sale for a mere £13!!!!!!!! Such an amazing bargain. Can always trust New Look with excellent, reasonably priced shoes. I've actually bought these for my holiday to Egypt, which I'll be leaving for next week. Outfit post featuring these will be coming soon.

TOPSHOP jumper
ZARA shorts
NIKE free runs 2
EBAY hat

Oh look the sun comes out and naturally I decide to wear all black - not by choice exactly but because I literally have no colour in my wardrobes. I leave the colour to my nails. It's not hot enough to go all out in summer attire at the moment so it's either have your legs out or your arms out - not both. Oh, don't be fooled by the running shoes, I don't actually go running... yet. Although, I have decided to participate in Race For Life this year so I will start my training for that soon. If you're feeling generous and would like to sponsor me for this great cause (Cancer Research UK), you can do so on my fundraising page here

Topshop 86 tee
Zara leather shorts
Topshop gangsta heels
Magazine clutch (not exact)
Michael Kors watch

Wearing this on a night out this weekend, I felt like one of those American football players. Just needed the massive amounts of padding and a helmet and I was set. GAME ON.

Topshop "gangsta" heels

You know when you finally find the perfect shoe, that can be worn during the day and at night. That elongates your legs and adds fierceness and edginess to your outfit. Well, the GANGSTAS are just that. I feel like Rebecca when she see's the green scarf and she just HAS to have it no matter how in-debt she is with Derek Smeathe. (I've really got to stop referencing Confessions of a Shopaholic).

River Island mesh tee, Tesco a-line skirt, Topshop heels, Topshop socks, Zara bag, Michael Kors watch

I've been seeing these bold a-line skirts popping up a lot recently with Topshop doing various versions of them. So, when I saw this one in Tesco I knew I had to buy it. Red is so on trend for spring and summer this year and it's such a bargain (only £14). If you're a fan of co-ords, like me, this also comes with a matching blazer. I am really digging sports luxe and monochrome with that pop of colour in there. This was an outfit I wore clubbing Friday night and boy it was not weather appropriate as we have just been hit with snow... again. I swear it's the beginning of spring this week?

What's your favourite trends and colours for this season?

Kanye West
Miss Selfridges leather jacket, Topshop tee, Dads check shirt, H&M leggings, Ebay boots

There’s this new fad entering the fashion world where you don’t literally wear layers anymore, you tie them round your waist. The most popular item tied round the waist is the checkered shirt that then automatically gives your outfit this laidback, L.A vibe (where I would rather be right now). Oversize it and then you have that skirt over trousers look. Yeezy would be proud.

River Island tee / River Island pencil skirt / Topshop heels / Topshop socks / Zara bag
You know when you find out there is birthday celebrations coming up you instantly going into this mode where you're constantly thinking about what to wear and the possibilities are endless. You keep changing your mind with each fabulous outfit you come up with. But of course, your favourite outfit for the event is one you don't own and don't have the money to get. Here is mine. It's fresh (phresh as Rihanna would say), fierce, sport and minimal. All I could ask for from an outfit. Depending on how my blog shop sales go, I may purchase the top, socks and skirt anyway and just be skint for the last week of the month! The things people do for clothes. This morning when watching Confessions of a Shopaholic, I literally saw my future unfold in front of me. It's scary how alike Rebecca and I are. Also, I'm a bit of Carrie Bradshaw, I would rather buy and read a fashion magazine than get some lunch.

Check out my blog shop here - I made it easier for you to browse but putting the items in categories. Also, don't forget to make the switch from Google Reader to Bloglovin' to keep up to date on my blog. Thank-you to my lovely followers for sticking around during my break.

So we are all quite aware of my love for Topshop so you would understand the sheer disappoint when I woke up from an afternoon nap to realise I had missed the show. Great. Thankfully, I remembered to catch up on it when I had fully awoken and had was back in the swing of life.
I am unconditionally and irrevocably in love with this collection.
At first I was a bit hasty as I had read tweets saying it was cowboy-esque and I am not a huge fan of that trend. However, I think in my head, I over-exaggarated what those said people meant. Can I just off by saying how obsessed I am with those patent, pleated skirts. Definitely an improved version of the school girl chic. Paired with those chunky, oversized coats (Topshop Unique create the best coats, hands down!) and either a sheer tee or cropped tee - the look is well structured and modern. Now, onto the jumpsuits. Ever since I watched Topshop Unique AW12 show I have come to the conclusion that they also create the best god damn jumpsuits (the long sleeved velvet one? the velvet dungarees?) yes, an A* and a round of applause for you Topshop, you rock. You also suck for not notifying me that the velvet dungarees went in the sale for less than half the price. My heart has broken. Pink is my least favourite colour in the world but this pastel jumpsuit just reminds me of cute baby bunnies and I like bunnies. Also the mix of different textures and the low neck-line has tickled my fancy. However, it doesn't quite compare to the closing number, the oxblood red, sequinned jumpsuit. I think I have found for New Years Eve outfit for this year. I like the spaghetti straps and I also like how fierce and sassy Jourdan Dunn looks in it but she's just absolutely flawless and killing the catwalk this season. It may be covered in sequins but it doesn't look tacky or like it could fall apart within a minute of partying. The pop of pastel pink in an A/W collection makes it different and stand out from previous collections; as last year was all about khaki and reformed military uniforms.

TOPSHOP boyfriend coat, TOPSHOP dress, TOPSHOP leggings, NIKE free runs 2, ZARA clutch, EBAY beanie, RIVER ISLAND sunglasses, MICHAEL KORS watch
The amount of Topshop clothes I buy and wear, they should make me their ambassador or something right? Today I made my way to Somerset House again for some street style shooting (not that I done much of that, I was either staring at beautiful people or beautiful outfits). I really am into the whole gym-I-do-loads-of-sport chic. One it's uber comfortable and so is the footwear, (I bounce around like Tigger in these Nike running shoes). Two, the clothes are modern and so on trend, I am obsessed with this dress and the sharp zig zag pattern. Tomorrow I am going to relax and get everything prepared for my London College of Fashion interview on Wednesday. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!!!!!!!

TOPSHOP neon beanie, H&M print jumper, ASOS dungarees, TOPSHOP cut out boots
I took these snaps quickly before I headed out for London Fashion Week day one. In the end, I actually wore the dungarees up and it was such a nice, spring-feeling, day that I didn't have to spoil the outfit by a big chunky jacket. As it was so early in the morning I most likely blinded a few people with this outrageously bright beanie, it quite literally glows in pictures! It is amazing for when you don't have a statement clothing item and you just need to add a pop of colour to a monochrome outfit. A key trend this season. I shall be posting my review on Zoe Jordan's show tomorrow which I attended.

Music for the screwed, blued and tattooed.
Now I know I haven't done a music post in a while, but Bago's new mixtape Sunday's Best deserves to be blogged about. I only found and downloaded it this morning but I haven't stopped listening to it all day (apart from when I was catching up on Bieber's SNL from last night) and I know that it will be playing non-stop for a while.
Check it out and download it here.

Daytime: TOPSHOP boyfriend coat, H&M monochrome print jumper, DIY t-shirt, TOPSHOP jeans, TOPSHOP cut-out boots
Nighttime: TOPSHOP dweeb t-shirt, TOPSHOP dungarees, JEFFREY CAMPBELL spiked litas, ZARA messenger bag
Usually when I wear jeans it tends to be a bad day or a very unproductive day as they are my go to item for lazy days; especially these ripped boyfriend ones. However, yesterday was totally the opposite. I completed the first draft of my article, went shopping and purchased this Jill Sander copy, finally got a smoothie that I had been craving for two weeks and then went out at night and had an awesome night out with the majority of my good friends. I feel like lately, I have really found my style of dressing like a dude. Androgynous, never leave. You shall see me rocking crop tops, dungarees, beanies, ankle boots and also some rather cool caps this spring/summer.

What trend will you be rocking this S/S?

I have spent my day completing work ready for my LCF interview in a couple of weeks and then deciding to actually pay attention to fashion week this year. It was day 1 of New York fashion week today which was kicked off with BCBG Max Azria, and it was a brilliant start to the season! Layer, layer and more layers, with long silhouettes which is heartbreaking for the short ones like me. If you see a 5"3 girl pull off this look, let me know and I'll forever bow down to that girl. I'm glad that femininity isn't coming back just yet and we're sticking with the boyish, boxy structure. Beanies will be staying on trend throughout the next two seasons, but turning slouchy for AW13. Just think skater dude slouchy.  Who'd ever thought you would see knee length pumps?! These are three of my favourite looks from the collection as it keeps with the minimalism in the last look and the first look carries on the cobalt blue trend that we will be seeing a lot of this season.  A*.

What do you think of the trends that were shown today for AW13?

It's crazy how good Topshop's new collections are. I am particularly obsessed with all the sport-inspired clothes with this 86 tee being a favourite and now currently sold out. Dear Topshop Gods, please re-stock this tee! The jogger influenced leggings are A*. Don't even get me started on the shoes. Topshop never fail to disappoint when it comes to the shoes, apart from the prices. A student with a budget + Topshop shoes don't really go hand-in-hand. I recently purchased the white cut-out boots which you can see in my previous post. Must admit, I haven't worn any other shoes since purchasing these little beauties. I love the boots in this collage as it has both the cut-out and the contrasting heel which is the ideal boot in my eyes. Got a love a bit of a peeping-ankle. I have just recently lost A trainer - well it disappeared out of my bedroom so I need some new gym trainers and these ones are so on trend so they can both be worn in the gym and out on the streets. Another A*. THE HEELS. Chunky, sexy ankle strap, have a chode-y look to them. LOVE.
You rock Topshop.

TOPSHOP fedora hat / TOPSHOP boyfriend coat / FOREVER 21 yellow jumper / RIVER ISLAND disco pants / TOPSHOP cut out boots
I don't know what it is about fedoras but when I wear mine I feel like a French woman in Paris. This is quite a vibrant jumper for me. Lately, my wardrobe has consisted of black, white, grey and khaki green but now spring is coming is time to update my wardrobe. Although, monochrome and minimalism is so on trend right now it's time for a wardrobe change and to add some colour to my life. This jumper caught my eye in Forever 21 as I'm a huge fan of neon yellow paired with an all black outfit or with grey. I can't wait to shop more for Spring/Summer clothes. Topshop's sport luxe collection with its huge use of cobalt blue which is a colour I absolutely adore. The thought of going on a huge shopping spree in Topshop excites me so much!

TOPSHOP fedora hat / RIVER ISLAND sunglasses / TOPSHOP boyfriend coat / TOPMAN dork tee / TOPSHOP khaki green jeans / TOPSHOP loafers
I am doing this post from my iPad so I have no idea how it is going to come out but I will edit it when I get home. I am currently in Lisbon with my college film studies class to produce a short film. Surviving off any wifi (or weefi) I can come across is hell! It's nice and warm out here at the moment so it's a nice change from London's bipolar weather. I am currently living in my fedora, it's so chic and manly. Right up my street! It is a new key piece to my ever changing wardrobe!

MISS SELFRIDGES shirt / TOPSHOP tartan jeggings / JEFFREY CAMPBELL spiked litas / PANDORA leather charm bracelet / MICHAEL KORS watch

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been in bed all week ill with a throat infection so it has been a long, torturous week. However it's the weekend now woot woot! Last night I finally went out of the house for the first time all week with some friends and went partying. Probably not my wisest decision when I'm still ill but oh well. Tonight is also my 18th birthday party which I'm super excited about but very nervous as it can only go two ways? Good and shit.
